I Am a Camera
by John Van Druten
Winner of the Critic's Circle Award

I AM A CAMERA, the non-musical precursor to the Broadway musical hit CABARET, tells the story of the mercurial and irresponsible Sally Bowles. When we first meet her, she is a creature of extravagant attitudes, given to parading her vices, enormously confident that she is going to take life in her stride. But a sudden series of unfortunate events causes Sally to grasp at the tinseled escape offered by a rich and worthless American playboy.

”...a striking, intelligent and steadily arresting play. A both uproarious and poignant dramatization.”-NY POST
