MEET THE CAST OF WIT

Julia Brothers –Julia Brothers - [Vivian Bearing, Ph.D] Julia Brothers recently returned from the east coast, where she starred opposite Marlo Thomas in Roger Is Dead, a new comedy written and directed by Elaine May at The George Street Playhouse. Recent West Coast credits include Evie’s Waltz, Triptych, The Hopper Collection, The Long Christmas Ride Home and ‘Bot at Magic Theatre; Medea (title role) at Pacific Repertory Theatre, directed by Joseph Chaikin; Salome at The Aurora Theatre; Nickel and Dimed, Ambition Facing West, and Theophilus North at Theatreworks; Love Song, The Subject Tonight Is Love, Life x 3 and Fortune at Marin Theatre Company; and Wit at San Jose Stage. Julia is so happy to be back at the B Street, where favorite credits include While We Were Bowling, Beauty Queen of Leenane, Off The Map, Melville Boys, Women Who Steal, Beneath the Moon Beyond the Stars, Communicating Doors, Criminal Hearts, A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking, and The Agent. Julia has received numerous Bay Area Theatre awards, and was named Bay Area Theatre MVP by the San Francisco Chronicle in 2006. This one is for Poppy, with love.

Jason Kuykendall – [Jason Posner] Jason Kuykendall is proud to be a member of the B Street Theatre Acting Company where he has performed in new works such as Last Train to Nibroc, Wittenberg The Big Bang, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and many more. He is originally from Arizona and has performed with a majority of the major theatres there. From there he moved to Los Angeles were he starred onstage with Tyne Daly in a production of Big Maggie. He played Oswald in the world premiere of Lanford Wilson's new translation of Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts. He has also had roles on television shows such as General Hospital and State of Grace, and most recently in the feature film Homeland. Recent Northern CA performances include Lenny in Of Mice and Men with the Sacramento Theatre Company and Dr. Treves in the Elephant Man with Theatre Works.

Catherine MacNeal – [E.M. Ashford] Catherine was last seen as Sister Aloysius Beauvier in Doubt. She comes to the B Street Theatre after 20 years in Los Angeles performing in film, television and theatre. She began her career as a company member at Hedgerow Theatre and the People's Light and Theatre Company, both in Pennsylvania. She has appeared with the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, Ford's Theatre in D.C., La Mama and the Westbank Theatre in New York City, the Rubicon Theatre in Ventura, the Matrix, Santa Monica Playhouse and Theatre West in Los Angles and the Andrews Lane Theatre in Dublin, Ireland. She received Dramalogue Awards for her performances in The Philadelphia Story and Scenes From American Life. TV credits include regular roles as Lisa Taylor, the mom on 100 Deeds For Eddie McDowd (Nickelodeon), District Attorney Pat Hamilton on Days of Our Lives, CSI, Judging Amy, Cheers, Night Court, Star Trek: Voyager, Designing Women, and ER. Her filmography includes The Muse, Under Siege 2, Clear and Present Danger, Downtown, Wave Babes and Little Secrets. Catherine is a founding member of Cambodia Tomorrow, a non-profit dedicated to providing education for orphans in Cambodia. She and her family- Tom, Jake, Julia Rosalie and Charlotte - split their time between Berkeley, California and Lavender Hill Farm on Vashon Island Washington. Catherine is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.

Katie Rubin – [Susie Monahan] Katie was last seen at the B Street Theatre as Izzy in Rabbit Hole and Constance Owen in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Other local credits include To Kill A Mockingbird and A Christmas Carol for the Sacramento Theatre Company, and she was seen most recently as Sir Isaac Newton in The Marin Theatre Company's production of A Short History of Nearly Everything. Last year, her first solo show, Insides OUT!, received a nine week production at the Sacramento Theatre Company, and has toured to over 40 venues across the country. She made her television debut as a law student on A&E's 700 Center Street with Alan Arkin, and you may have seen her as a happy Honda owner this past summer in a Northern California Honda commercial. Ms. Rubin received her Master's Degree in Acting from UC Davis in 2005 and in addition to working as a professional actress, she also teaches acting, improv, writing, and gives private voice lessons.

David Silberman – [Harvey Kelekian] A company member, David's recent B Street work includes The Seafarer, Underneath the Lintel,Sarah, Sarah, The Cocktail Hour and for the Family Series, Johnny Tremain and Treasure Island. He recently completed productions of Urinetown and On Golden Pond at Foothill Theatre Company. For the Sacramento Theatre Company, David appeared in Of Mice and Men, Picnic, All My Sons, Driving Miss Daisy, The Grapes Of Wrath, T Bone N Weasel and Scrooge in A Christmas Carol. Regional theatre credits at GEVA Theatre Center in Rochester, NY: Broadway Bound, Twelve Angry Men, Inherit The Wind, Picasso At The Lapin Agile and Ben Franklin in 1776; TheatreWorks (Palo Alto): The Last Night Of Ballyhoo; Capital Stage Company: Humble Boy, Shakespeare Santa Fe: Much Ado About Nothing; and the Oregon Cabaret Theatre in Ashland.

Paul Alary – [Ensemble] Paul is excited to be in B Street’s production of Wit. After recently earning his BA in Theatre from CSUS, Paul went on to study at the American Conservatory Theater. Sacramento credits include Les Liaisons Dangereuses at Capital Stage, The Taming of the Shrew, Amadeus and A Christmas Carol at Sacramento Theatre Company. Michael Baugh – [Ensemble] Michael is happy to be a part of the B Street Theatre's Intern Company and has come all the way from Orlando, Florida to be a part of this wonderful and vibrant theatre community. He recently appeared in the B Street School Tours' production of Grimm and Bear It. His resume includes credits from: The Visit, Hamlet, Proposals, The Piano Lesson, and Parade.

Julie Marchiano – [Ensemble] Julie graduated from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro in May 2008 with a BA in Theatre and is a member of the B Street Theatre's 2008-2009 Acting Intern Company. She recently performed in Grimm and Bear It for the B Street School Tours. Her educational theatre credits include: Charlotte's Web (Wilbur, 2006 KCACTF Region IV Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship nomination), The Country Wife, Mother Hicks, Dog Sees God. Julie also performed professional improv and sketch comedy with The Idiot Box in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Abbey Molyneux – [Ensemble] Abbey is an Iowa native and a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas’ Master of Fine Arts Acting Program. She is thrilled to be studying the world of professional theatre as a member of the 2008-2009 B Street Intern Company. She recently performed in A Christmas Carol for the Family Series and in Grimm and Bear It for the B Street School Tours. Some of her favorite roles include: Elisabeth in the world premiere of My Father’s War at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Ann Deever in All My Sons, Lydia in Big Love, and Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor. She wants to thank her family and friends who make this possible.
