The Giver

bstreet_giver-playbillgraphic_10-20-11

THE GIVER adapted by Eric Coble, based on the story by Lois Lowry.
Second Show of the 2011-2012 Family Series.

Through this astonishing and moving adaptation, discover what it means to grow up, grow wise and take control of your own destiny. Jonas lives in a perfect world devoid of war, fear, pain...and choice.
Everyone is assigned a role in the Community by the Elders and must live out
predetermined lives. When Jonas turns 12, he is chosen to be trained by the Giver to
receive the memories of the people and the past: memories that hold the pain and
pleasure of life. It is time for Jonas to discover the truth and determine his own destiny.

Recommended for ages 8 and up.

We strongly encourage parents to check out the resource information on The Giver prior to purchasing tickets and seeing the production.
