B Street Theatre's fresh new take on this classic holiday story of generosity and newfound Christmas spirit and incorporates memorable characters from several other Charles Dickens novels.

MEET THE CAST

Greg Alexander – [Charles Dickens] Greg Alexander was seen most recently as Martin Luther in Wittenberg at the B Street Theatre. He has appeared in numerous B Street productions, including The Big Bang, Around the World in 80 Days, and Escanaba in Da Moonlight. In addition to his acting credits, Greg directed A Year with Frog & Toad, Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business and A Christmas Story for the B Street Family Series, and Every Christmas Story Ever Told for Capital Stage aboard the Riverboat Delta King. Additional regional theatre credits include work at the Sacramento Theatre Company, The Foothill Theatre Company in Nevada City, the Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, the Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Philadelphia Theatre Company, and People’s Light and Theatre Company in Malvern, PA. Greg also writes and directs entertainment for awards ceremonies, retirement benefits, and corporate events for his own company, Greg Alexander Productions. He lives in Sacramento with his wife Sean, and their Westies, Duffy and Milo.

Jamie Jones – [Miss Havisham] Jamie most recently appeared as Yellow Dog in Go, Dog. Go! and Kate in Sylvia at the B Street Theatre. Other favorite B Street Theatre productions include The Clean House, Throwing Parties, The Book of Liz, Boston Marriage and Three Days of Rain. In the Bay area she appeared in Encore Theatre’s production of The Typographer’s Dream, by Adam Bock and the world premiere of Rogelio Martinez’s Displaced at Marin Theatre Company. Regional: American Conservatory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, B Street Theatre, The Cable Car Theatre, Capital Stage, Children’s Theatre of California, Marin Theatre Company, Sacramento Theatre Company and the Utah Shakespeare Festival. She played Vivian in the West Coast premiere of Free Will and Wanton Lust, directed by Nicky Silver. New York: The Connelly Theatre, Theatre at St. Clements and the Lincoln Center Directors’ Lab at HERE space. Television: Law & Order and the mini-series Gone But Not Forgotten. Film: The Right Gift. Jamie is Co-Director of the B Street Theatre Conservatory with her husband Michael Stevenson and a proud member of the B Street Theatre Acting Company. She received an M.F.A. from The American Conservatory Theatre.

Rick Kleber – [Sidney, Police Bobby] After playing MC Dog in Go, Dog. Go! and appearing in Rumpelstiltskin, Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business, The Princess and the Pauper, A Year With Frog and Toad, Bunnicula, The Boxcar Children and in both of the Alexander productions, Rick is happy to be once again on the Family Series Stage. An original company member of the B Street Theatre School Tours (formerly Fantasy Theatre), he appeared in the first Fantasy Festival. On the B Street stage he was featured in Holiday Tales, Gunmetal Blues and The Death of Zukasky. In 1995, the Sacramento News and Review voted him “Best Actor”. He has performed in over 100 productions including A Christmas Carol (Sacramento Theatre Company). Guys and Dolls (Alabama Summer Fest), Little Shop of Horrors (Syracuse Stage), Cabaret (Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma), Corpse (Foothill Theatre) and Fiddler on the Roof at the Golden Theatre in Burbank for which he received a Los Angeles Drama-Logue award. One of his favorite roles was playing Fred Flinstone in The Flinstones Show at Universal Studios, Hollywood. Movie and television appearances include Ghost, Hook, Lunch, My Favorite Martian, Waxwork II, The Adventures of SuperDave , Her Minor Thing and as a recurring skit player on The Tonight Show. He was a regular on Howard Stern’s Son of the Beach, and has been featured on The Amanda Show, All That, The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Deal or No Deal, Girls Club, and The West Wing. Rick is a proud member of the B Street Theatre Acting Company.

Dan Harlan – [Vicar, Fagin, Factory Foreman] Dan is happy to be back at the B Street Theatre, having last appeared here in Throwing Parties. Other B Street credits include The Death of Zukasky, Apartment 3-A, An Evening of One Acts, F-Stop, Juno and the Paycock, The Canterville Ghost, and Johnny Tremaine for the B Street Family Series (formerly The Children’s Theatre of California). Regional credits include Shelly Levine in Glengarry Glen Ross, Clov in Endgame, and Estragon in Waiting for Godot, all for the Actor’s Theatre of Sacramento, and To Kill A Mockingbird for the Sacramento Theatre Company.

Josiah Correll – [Uriah Heep, Factory Worker] Josiah is from Garrard County, Kentucky and received his BFA in Acting from the University of Kentucky. He has appeared in Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Lone Star, A Midsummer Night's Dream and the world premiere of Silas House's The Hurting Part. For the B Street Theatre, he appeared in Johnny Tremain for the Family Series, Escanaba in Da Moonlight for the Mainstage, and in the intern showcases Vrooommm! A NASComedy by Janet Allard, Remotely Controlled, John Patrick Shanley’s Where’s My Money, and John P. Lamb’s 9/10ths of the Law. Josiah recently joined the B Street Theatre staff as an artistic associate.

Galen Howard – [Oliver Plummer, Child Charles, Young Charles] A Davis, California native, Galen has performed frequently over the years in Sacramento theatre. At the Actor’s Theatre of Sacramento he played Lucky in Waiting for Godot, Tim in The Distance from Here, Saturninus in Titus Andronicus, and Ronnie in The House of Blue Leaves. He also starred in Master Harold…and the Boys, and was in The Secret Garden for the B Street Family Series. Film credits include Canary, and Nightbeats.

Jen Mears – [Bertha Strummer, Belle’s Mother, Fan] Jen Mears is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. She earned her B.A. in Theatre Performance from Florida Southern College in 2007. Since then, Jen has worked at The Hippodrome State Theatre in Gainesville, FL and Players by the Sea in Jacksonville, where she won the award for Best Actress for her role as Louise in The Underpants. More recently, Jen was seen onstage this summer as Martha Stuart in the historical outdoor drama, Horn in the West, in Boone, North Carolina. Some of her favorite past roles include Catherine from Proof, Jill from Butterflies are Free, Mrs. Lyons from Blood Brothers and Lucy from Could Angels be Blessed. Jen is a member of the 08-09 intern company and is thrilled to be in California and part of such an outstanding theatre.

Sara Perry – [Alice, Belle] Sara is a Sacramento native and a recent graduate from CSUS's Theatre & Dance department, and she is thrilled to be a member of B St's 08-09 Intern Company. Recent credits include Margie in Loose Knit, Peggy Sawyer u/s in 42nd St., and Mercy Lewis in The Crucible at Sac State. Other favorite roles include Carlotta in Balm in Gilead with Steppenwolf @ SummerArts, Beauty in Beauty & the Beast at the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival, and Silvia in The Two Gentleman of Verona at the Sacramento Shakespeare Festival.
