Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students.

MEET THE CAST:
Catherine MacNeal - [Sister Aloysius]
Catherine comes to the B Street Theatre after 20 years in Los Angeles performing in film, television and theatre.  She began her career as a company member at Hedgerow Theatre and the People's Light and Theatre Company, both in Pennsylvania.  She has appeared with the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, Ford's Theatre in D.C., La Mama and the Westbank Theatre in New York City, the Rubicon Theatre in Venture, the Matrix, Santa Monica Playhouse and Theatre West in Los Angles and the Andrews Lane Theatre in Dublin, Ireland.  She received Dramalogue Awards for her performances in The Philadelphia Story and Scenes From American Life. TV credits include regular roles as Lisa Taylor, the mom on 100 Deeds For Eddie McDowd (Nickelodeon), District Attorney Pat Hamilton on Days of Our Lives, CSI, Judging Amy, Cheers, Night Court, Star Trek: Voyager, Designing Women, and ER.  Her filmography includes The Muse, Under Siege II, Clear and Present Danger, Downtown, Wave Babes and Little Secrets. Catherine is a founding member of Cambodia Tomorrow, a non-profit dedicated to providing education for orphans in Cambodia.  She and her family - Tom, Jake, Julia, Rosalie and Charlotte - split their time between Berkeley, California and Vashon Island, Washington.  Catherine is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.  Thanks to her teaching and acting mentors who inspired Sister Aloysius – Kate Rieser, Fionnula Flanagan, and Priscilla MacNeal.

Kurt Johnson – [Father Brendan Flynn]
Kurt has been a regular at B Street Theatre since completing his 1993-94 apprentice program.  He is currently a member of the B Street Acting Company and, in addition to directing Betty the Yeti, F-Stop and Vigil with Timothy Busfield, Kurt has also acted in numerous productions including Below the Belt, Three Days of Rain, The Cocktail Hour, National Anthems, Escanaba in Da Moonlight, While We Were Bowling, Lobby Hero, Lune Pronounced Loony and Rabbit Hole.  He has performed locally with Sacramento Music Circus and Sacramento Theatre Company.  Kurt works in commercials, industrial videos, radio voice-overs and film.  He also teaches acting and improv classes locally.

Erinn Anova – [Mrs. Muller]
Erinn Anova, a Sacramento native, started her acting career at age 12 in the now defunct Sacramento Children’s Theater.  She was the lead Poppy Dancer in The Wizard of Oz.  A self-described “theatre worker,” she has worked locally at the Sacramento Theatre Company (appearing in Jar the Floor, Blues for an Alabama Sky, and Pericles), The Actor’s Theater and Celebration Arts where she also stage managed and directed.  In 1999 she was nominated for an Elly Award for her direction of August Wilson’s Fences at Celebration Arts.  She currently resides in Los Angeles where she has worked at the Fountain Theater and Stages Theater Center.  Upon graduating from Howard University in Theater, and completing an internship at the Folger Shakespeare Theater in Washington, DC, she returned to Sacramento and joined the band Papa’s Culture, founded by her brother Harley White.  Other singing gigs have included touring or recording with Raphael Saadiq, Blackalicious, Ricky Fante and Karl Denson, and performing on Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien, Ellen DeGeneres and Good Morning America.  Favorite acting roles include Marina in Pericles, Lady in Blue in For Colored Girls…, the title role in Miss Julie, and as a dancer in Bill T. Jones’s The Last Supper at Uncle Tom’s Cabin.  Her next project is working as director’s assistant in the Broadway revival of For Colored Girls… starring India Arie, opening July 2008.  She is the über proud mother of one lovely daughter, a 6th grader named Sela.  Thank you B Street for this wonderful opportunity!

Hesley Harps - [Sister James]
Hesley is delighted to make her B3 series debut in Doubt.  Earlier this season she toured with B Street School Tours’ Gold Country Tales, and also appeared as Esther Jane in the Family Series production of A Christmas Story.  In May, she graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Theatre Arts (Honors) and Ecology/Biodiversity from Sewanee: The University of the South.  In August, she made her Hollywood debut as Heidi Mittelhoffer in The Lady in Question.  Other favorite roles include: Young Tommy in Where Has Tommy Flowers Gone? (Berkshire Theatre Festival), Willie in This Property is Condemned (Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival), and Princess Winnifred in Once Upon Mattress (Sewanee).  She has studied at the Michael Howard Studios in New York and is proud to be a member of the B Street Theatre’s 2007-2008 intern company.  Hesley is originally from Alpharetta, Georgia and would like to thank Chris, Michael, and family for their support.

Maria Moody - [Sister James]
Maria Moody is thrilled to be making her debut at B Street Theatre.  She recently received her B.A in Theatre from the University of Georgia, where her favorite roles included Cordelia in King Lear and Vicki/Brooke in Noises Off.  She is a proud core member of Rose of Athens Theatre and honored to be one of the newest members of the B Street Theatre's  2007-2008 intern company.  She would like to thank her family and friends for their endless support.
