The Swan

One woman’s life is turned upside down when a wounded swan crashes through her living room window.  But as the swan becomes the man of her dreams, it upends her relationship with a married milkman in this quirky and humorous tale.  Directed by Erin Island, starring Dana Brooke, Kurt Johnson and Jason Kuykendall.

Dana Brooke - [Dora]
Dana Brooke Friedman is happy to return to the B Street Theatre stage after last appearing in Make Someone Happy and Sarah Sarah.  Other B Street Theatre shows include The Wishing Well, Lobby Hero, Lobster Alice, This is Our Youth and The Lonesome West.  She works in regional theatre, off-broadway, in film and television, and currently resides in New York.



Jason Kuykendall - [Swan]
Jason Kuykendall is proud to be a member of the B Street Theatre Acting Company where he has performed in new works such as Last Train to Nibroc, Lobster Alice, Off the Map, Fortune, The Big Bang, and most recently Safe at Home: The Jackie Robinson Story. He is originally from Arizona. He has performed with a majority of the major theatres there, winning four AriZoni awards for his work. From there he moved to Los Angeles were he starred onstage with Tyne Daly in a production of Big Maggie. He played Oswald in the world premiere of Lanford Wilson's new translation of Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts. He became a member of the acclaimed Theatre group, Antaeus Company. He has also had roles on television shows such as General Hospital and State of Grace, and most recently in the feature film Homeland.


Kurt Johnson - [Kevin]

Kurt has been a regular at B Street Theatre since completing his 1993-94 apprentice program.  He is currently a member of the B Street Theatre Acting Company and, in addition to directing Betty the Yeti, F-Stop and Vigil with Timothy Busfield, Kurt has also acted in numerous productions including Below the Belt, Three Days of Rain, The Cocktail Hour, National Anthems, While We Were Bowling, Lobby Hero, Lune Pronounced Loony, Rabbit Hole, Doubt and the most recent and original B Street production of Escanaba in Da Moonlight in 1996.  He has performed locally with Sacramento Music Circus and Sacramento Theatre Company.  Kurt works in commercials, industrial videos, radio voice-overs and film.  He also teaches acting and improv classes locally.
