MEET THE CAST OF HEAR THE GRASS GROW



David Pierini
David was last seen as Doctor Faustus in the West Coast premiere of Wittenberg.  Previously he had appeared in the summer revival of Sylvia, Around the World in 80 Days, Escanaba in Da Moonlight, Buck Busfield's Make Someone Happy and at Sacramento Theatre Company in their production of Of Mice and Men.  A member of the B Street Theatre Acting Company, David was seen last year in the revival of The Big Bang, Throwing Parties and Wishing Well.  For the Family Series, David was seen in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Johnny Tremain and wrote The Princess And The Pauper and most recently, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.



Elisabeth Nunziato
Elisabeth is a B Street Company Member. Audiences may know her from appearances in The Wishing Well, Lune, A Beast on the Moon, Fortune, Bright  Ideas, Juno and the Paycock  the B3 series premier The Rabbit Hole  and most recently the return of Around the World in 80 Days. Elisabeth has worked in film and television with Danny Glover, Forest Whitaker, and Robin Williams. She has appeared in several CBS movies -of -the –week, all with the word “Deadly” in the title and is quite at home in a recording studio tracking everything from commercials to documentary narration.




Ed Claudio
Ed is a founding member of Timothy and Buck Busfield's B Street Theatre School Tour (originally Fantasy Theatre) and appeared in the B Street Theatre's first play, Mass Appeal, with Timothy Busfield.  He also appeared in three world premiers at B Street Theatre: Hidden in this Picture (starring Tim Busfield and Aaron Sorkin), Joe DiPietro's The Virgin Weeps and Buck Busfield's Beneath the Moon, Beyond the Stars.  His most recent appearance at B Street Theatre was in The Underpants.  He has appeared at Sacramento Theatre Company as Joe Keller in Arthur Miller's All My Sons and Moliere's Tartuffe (Orgon)  Other local work includes appearances at The Foothill Theatre Company (Fugard's Valley Song) The Sacramento Music Circus production of West Side Story (Doc) and the B Street Theatre Family Series (The Boxcar Children).  New York and Off-Broadway work includes appearances at Riverside Shakespeare Co., The Quaigh Theatre, The Judith Anderson Theatre and the Studio Theatre at University Place.  In 1989 he founded the Actor's Workshop and in 1997 The Actor's Theatre of Sacramento.  Over 17 seasons he has produced and/or directed more than 80 full length plays, several hundred one-acts, and has put more that 500 actors of all ages on stage.  In 1999 he was awarded the Sacramento Metropolitan Commission's Arts Educator Award.  Film work included principal roles in A Tangled Web and Spring Awakening, both CBS movies of the week.  He has a principal role in the mini-series Gone But Not Forgotten, principal and lead roles in several independent films and has performed in many commercials and voice-overs.  Most recently Ed was Judge Thatcher in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Royal Tailor in The Emperor's New Clothes, and Branch Rickey in Safe at Home: The Jackie Robinson Story for the B Street Family Series.  Ed is also a proud member of the B Street Theatre's Acting Company.

Stephanie McVay
Stephanie is thrilled to  be again on the B Street Theatre stage after her roles as Maryjohnny Rafferty in A Skull In Connemara and as Sister Elizabeth in The Book of Liz.  Previously she was seen in Juno and the Paycock, and has had the pleasure of performing in several other B Street Theatre productions, The Underpants, Canterville Ghost, Red Herring and Wonderful World.  Since moving to Los Angeles in 2005, she has landed two great agents and is auditioning for great projects. In the meantime, she just wrapped the indie film Say Hello to Stan Talmadge starring Gary Cole and Jennifer Coolidge.  Passions, the soap opera, was her Los Angeles debut in television.  This fall she will be part of Todd Stephen’s film Spring Break, the sequel to Another Gay Movie in which she will play Bonnie, the Mom.  Other Stephen films include Edge of Seventeen and Gypsy 83.  Other film work included Elsa Letterseed, Phoenix and the short, Waking Dreams.  Thanks for coming to the theatre!
