Meet the Cast
Melissa Dye [Army Wife, Flight Attendant, Mother]
Melissa is pleased to be retuning to Sacramento for her B Street Theatre debut, where she was last seen as Petra in A Little Night Music at Sacramento Music Circus. Her Broadway credits include Rapunzel (and frequently Cinderella) in the revival of Into the Woods starring Vanessa Williams; Sandy in Grease! and the Mirror Bride (Christine u/s) in Phantom of the Opera. She also had the great fortune of playing the 'full time' Christine opposite Paul Stanley, of KISS fame, in Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theatre in Toronto, Canada. She traveled Canada with the National Tour of Ragtime as Evelyn Nesbit. She played the role of Kim in Show Boat (Hollywood Bowl) and Maria in LA's Reprise Series and Chicago's Ovation Series productions of Call Me Madam, as well as the role of Joan in Strike Up the Band. Her Chicago credits include Esther in Meet Me in St. Louis (Drury Lane Oakbrook), Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods (Marriott's Lincolnshire), A Christmas Carol (Goodman Theater) Cunegonde in Candide (Court Theater) for which she received a Joseph Jefferson Award nomination for the best actress in a musical. Her television credits include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, ED, Grounded for Life, ER, Providence, Remember WENN, As the World Turns, Another World, One Life to Live and the institutionalized serial killer, Molly Malone, on ABC's The City. Melissa served as soloist for the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra and Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra. In addition, she may be heard on the recordings of Into the Woods (revival cast), Bright Lights, Big City, Kurt Weill: The Centennial and BCEFA's Carols for a Cure: Vol. IV. Melissa received her B/M/ in Vocal Performance from Northern Illinois University where she currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors Alumni Association. She is a proud member of  Actors' Equity.

Edward Watts [Army Captain, Marriage Counselor, Mailman]
Edward comes to the B Street Theatre directly from Goodspeed Opera House in CT where he performed the role of Thomas Jefferson in the highly acclaimed production of 1776. In the previous year he also performed the role of Adam in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers around the country and made his debut at the New York City Opera as Joe in The Most Happy Fella with Paul Sorvino. Theatre credits include Papermill Playhouse, Northshore Music Theatre, Theatre of the Stars - Atlanta (Fox) Baltimore Centerstage, The York Theatre in NYC, Music Theatre of Wichita, Theatre Under the Stars - Houstin, Marriott's Lincolnshire, Stages St. Louis and The Aladdin Theatre in Las Vegas. Leading roles: The Beast & Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Percy in The Scarlet Pimpernel, Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jim Farrell in Titanic, Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun,  Lancelot in Camelot and Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell. TV includes recurring roles on The Sopranos and All My Children, One Life to Live and MTV. Proud member of Actors Equity Association.
