How it Works
B Street Theatre School Tour performances are a fun way to introduce children to the experience of live theatre and the art of telling stories on stage. In California, all schools must implement the State's curriclumn standards for Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) at every grade level. B Street School Tour performances, and the accompanying teacher study guides, can help students meet these requirements and learn lessons in other academic subject areas such as reading, writing, history, social studies and even math and science.
Performances typically run approximately 45 minutes and can take place in a variety of venues such as auditoriums, gymnasiums and cafeterias. The tour has also played at hospitals and other non-school venues.
