Summer Acting Camp FAQs
2008

What are Times & Dates of the classes?
Kids Acting Camps (9-13)
Session 1: June 16th – June 30th  (Monday - Friday) 9:00am - 1:00pm
Session2: July 14th –July 28th  (Monday - Friday) 9:00am - 1:00pm (until August 7th)

Teen Acting Camp (14-17)
August 4th - August 18th(Monday – Friday) 10:00am - 2:00pm

Junior Acting Camp (6-8)
Session 1: 7th – July14th  (Monday - Friday) 9:00am - 1:00pm
Session 2:  July 28th – August 4th (Monday - Friday) 9:00am - 1:00pm
 
Why does the camp end on a Monday?
Every camp will have a FINAL SHOWCASE on the last Monday of class. Monday is the only day the B Street Theatre stage is not performing. Note: we will meet at 4:00pm for final dress rehearsal and FINAL SHOWCASE at 7:00pm.  We will NOT MEET IN THE MORNING on that last Monday.
 
Is lunch provided?
Each student should bring a bag lunch. We will eat around noon each day in the park adjacent to the B St. Theatre. We will also have a snack break in the morning. A Snack will be provided by the Bst. Summer Acting Camp.
 
What will they learn?
Students will be exposed to a variety of theatrical trainingmethods: skills based exercises, improvisation, scene-study, physical and vocalwarm-ups, rehearsal techniques, memorization, performance in a final showcase,and much more. For more specific questions call (916)799-8309
 
When is final showcase?

Do we need to audition?
Auditions are not required for the Bst. Summer Acting Camp. All skill levels welcome. We make an effort to pair students appropriately in regards to age and skill level.

Who will teach the camp?
Camps will be taught by Bst.regular KURT JOHNSON. Depending on class size , he will have the assistance otherlocal, professional, actor/teachers.
