Make Someone Happy
A lonely, single woman in Queens is driven to humorous and life altering extremes by the attention of an ordinary delivery man in this offbeat romantic comedy. Features Dana Brooke, Mary Baird, Dave Pierini, Tara Sissom and Maurice Whitfield. MEET THE CAST Mary Baird - [AGNES] Mary Baird was last seen at the B Street Theatre as Gladis in Many Happy Returns. She is a Native Californian but has lived in New York City since 1970. She has acted On and Off Broadway, regionally, and nationally receiving awards for her performance in Holiday Memories, No Way To Treat A Lady and Blue Plate Special. She created the roll of the mother in Fraulein Else at Berkeley Rep, and played the title role in Mother Courage in VT. Recently she played Mrs. Mcgee in Corpse at the Foothill Theatre. Locally seen in a workshop of Marius at the Aurora Theatre, River’s End for the Marin Theatre Company, The Last Speech Teacher for The Foothill Theatre Co. and is a company actor for PlayGround in Berkeley. Some of her favorite roles include Shirley Vaentine, the Nurse in Romeo And Juliet, Bessie in Awake And Sing and Sarah in The Norman Conquest. Mary trained at ACT in San Francisco, with Uta Hagen in NY, and at Shakespeare & Co. She is a Designated Linklater Teacher. Dana Brooke - [ELISABETH] Dana Brooke is happy to return to the B Street Theatre stage after last appearing in Sarah Sarah. Other B Street Theatre shows include The Wishing Well, Lobby Hero, Lobster Alice, This is Our Youth and The Lonesome West. She works in regional theatre, off-broadway, in film and television, and currently resides in New York. David Pierini - [TONY] David is happy to return to the B Street Theatre and be a part of his NINTH original Buck Busfield play. David was recently seen at Sacramento Theatre Company in their production of Of Mice And Men. At the B Street Theatre, David was seen last year in the revival of The Big Bang, Throwing Parties and Wishing Well. For the Family Series, David was seen in Sherlock Holmes, Johnny Tremain and wrote The Princess And The Pauper. David’s adaptation of Tom Sawyer will be presented at the Family Series this winter. Tara Sissom - [BERNADETTE] Tara Sissom is thoroughly enjoying her new life and fabulous internship in California! She recently starred in B Street Theatre’s school tour production of Gold County Tales. Although she misses the tour life she is happy to be out of ‘cafegymatoriums’ and onto the main stage. She graduated in May 2007 from Elon University with a B.F.A in Music Theatre and a minor in Digital Art. Tara is proud to share the stage with fellow alumnus Maurice Whitfield. Maurice Whitfield - [VINCENT] Maurice Whitfield is very pleased to be in California after recently graduating from Elon University in North Carolina. Maurice is a proud member of B Street Theatre’s Intern Company and is enjoying learning about himself and working hard. He has just finished ten weeks on the B Street Theatre School Tour where he played numerous roles. He would like to thank “The Creator” his mom and Buck Busfield. |
